BLOCK PARTY 2015

Block Party 2015, The Farmer's Market, begins in September. We can't wait for you to see what groupings of beautiful prints we have in store for you.  You get a peek at them here, but come in to the shop to see them for real. Our quilts will be called Fruits, Vegetables, and Flowers Flowers is a nice soft and feminine feel with warm vintage pastels, mostly from the Fig Tree collections of Moda Fabrics.  Vegetables will feature darker, richer hues with prints from many Kansas Troubles groupings; and Fruits will include a variety of bright colors focusing on prints from Free Spirit.

Block Party Day is the second Monday and the second Saturday of every month for one year; you sign up for the day that is most convenient for you. The first block kit is priced at $3.00. Bring it in yourself, finished, the next month on the day you signed up for and pay $3.00. With block unfinished or any other day the kit will cost only $5.50. You may purchase as many kits as you like, but only one qualifies for the $3.00 value.

Next August you will have the opportunity to purchase a setting kit to complete your quilt.

September -- The Wing Clipper tool made these flying geese sections come out perfectly.  Don't forget to square up the half square triangles and use an accurate 1/4" seam throughout.

October --  I found the stiletto or 'awl' very helpful in putting this block together.  You know how you sometimes want to get your finger in there to keep the pieces feeding under the presser foot evenly? The stiletto fits in there very nicely and I don't have to worry about getting my finger under that needle!
