Dress a Girl Around the World - Mary Ann Marland

Learn how to make a simple sundress for girls ages 1-12.  Dress a Girl is a not-for-profit organization that donates these dresses to orphanages in third-world countries.  Join us as we make these sundresses for beautiful little girls in Haiti, Guatemala, Ecuador, or Africa.

  • 1 yd good quality cotton fabric
  • 1/4" or 1/2" wide elastic
  • Extra wide double fold bias seam binding
  • Matching cotton thread (we recommend Presencia or Mettler)
  • 1 roll of Reynold's freezer paper (found at grocery store)
  • Optional - matching ribbon, coordinating fabrics to make pockets, or contrasting bodice, or bands.
