Sergers are very complex and have a TON of moving parts, but once you understand how those parts work together, you will be able to get to work on an infinite number of fun new projects and know some new techniques you can use it for as well! We will also be making the Simple Elegant Tee from CnT Patterns.

The point of Quilt As You Go is to build the whole quilt in manageable pieces so you can quilt your quilt on a domestic machine. This 2-day class will show you 4 techniques in constructing quilts. We will cover quilting your blocks with hands on experiences in class the first session. The second session will cover sewing them all together in a finished project. It's easier than you think.

In this continuing class, we will learn a variety of techniques: needle turn applique, cut-away applique, and hand piecing. Our project for this year, when completed, is about 40” square, and was inspired by an 1846 dated quilt featured in the book, "Hidden Treasures: Quilts from 1600 to 1860" by Kay and Lori Triplette. While the sample quilt is primarily blue and yellow, consider your own color palette. Notice, the border vine is all one multicolor fabric that determines the color palette for the sample quilt. $66 for four class sessions.
