Grab your latest charity project and come sew with us! Prairie Point is not a designated Project Linus drop off location. Though, during the hours of this charity sew, you are more than welcome to drop off your blankets to the Project Linus representative, Renee Comfort, for donation.

Beginning Quilting I - Elizabeth Brakenhoff (Winter 2026)

Begin and finish a quilt in this 8-week class designed for the beginner! In this series, we'll learn how to piece a quilt by machine, fabric tips and cutting tricks, rotary cutting, block assembly, borders, quilting your quilt, and binding -- successfully finishing your first quilt.

Prussian Blue Medallion - Kathy Delaney

In this continuing class, we will learn a variety of techniques: needle turn applique, cut-away applique, and hand piecing. Our project for this year, when completed, is about 40” square, and was inspired by an 1846 dated quilt featured in the book, "Hidden Treasures: Quilts from 1600 to 1860" by Kay and Lori Triplette. While the sample quilt is primarily blue and yellow, consider your own color palette. Notice, the border vine is all one multicolor fabric that determines the color palette for the sample quilt. $66 for four class sessions.

Create this fun baby quilt with 2 1/2" strips cut into diamonds. This traditional 6-pointed star is designed without set-in seams using the Sidekick Ruler, and can be made with your favorite fun prints or made old-fashioned. It will also make a nice wall hanging or table topper. Susan will also share how to make the same design with 3 1/2" diamonds, creating a throw size quilt or even larger!
